The AIPPI (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle – The International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property), dating back to 1897, is an international non-profit organization aiming to bring together everyone interested in this field, especially intellectual property owners, scholars, and patent and trademark attorneys.

The international organization, based in Zurich, Switzerland, which currently has over 8000 members in more than 100 countries, also has organizationally structured national groups and operates in 64 countries including Turkey.

AIPPI Turkish National Group was founded on September 26th, 2008 and has been continuing its work which sets a course for the Intellectual Property Law in Turkey since its foundation.

Four international seminars organized since 2008, Desk Side Meetings where intellectual property matters in Turkey and worldwide are discussed, and a quarterly published newsletter, Fikri Gündem (Intellectual Agenda), which includes the latest Intellectual Property news, academic studies, and interviews in Turkey and worldwide are only a few of these works.
