Sertaç Köksaldı got his B.Sc. degree from Bogazici University in Industrial Engineering and LL.B. degree from Yeditepe University Law School.

He was also a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP). He founded Intellectual Property Department of Arçelik A.Ş. and served as the Head of the Intellectual Property in Arçelik A.Ş. until 2016.

Following Arçelik, he worked as a partner in Deris Patents and Trademarks Agency. He was mainly interested in management of Intellectual Assets, how they are created, protected and how value is extracted from the Intellectual Assets.

He had an extensive experience on how to integrate intellectual property strategy into business plans and how to build an infrastructure supporting the said strategy. During his experience in handling complex disputes in technology licensing, he evolved as a deal maker, creating inventive alternatives which serve counter parties conflicting perspectives.

He had the titles of European Patent Attorney, Turkish Patent Attorney and also Turkish Trademark Attorney.

He worked as the president of AIPPI Turkey and a member of Licensing Executives Society Turkey Branch and Turkish Business Association (TÜSİAD) Intellectual Property Working Group. He represented Turkey in Business Europe Patents Working Group and the Council of Epi.
