
Türkay Alıca is an expert in intellectual property law with extensive experience. After graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1986, he began his career in 1987 as a judicial candidate and served as a Public Prosecutor and rapporteur judge until 2001. He earned a master’s degree in 1991 from Istanbul University, focusing on "Bank Loan Agreements."
Alıca participated in a European Commission project in 2002-2003 aimed at strengthening IP enforcement in Turkey, attending training at prestigious institutions like Queen Mary University of London and the European Patent Office. In 2003, he became a judge at Ankara’s Intellectual Property Rights Criminal Court, later serving as a judge at the 3rd Civil Court until 2016.
After ending his judicial career, he founded Alıca Law Firm in 2016, specializing in IP law. He is a co-author of several influential publications and has written for international IP resources. Alıca is fluent in English and continues to be a leading figure in intellectual property law.
