Heike Wollgast

Head, IP Disputes Section, WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center

Heike Wollgast heads the IP Disputes Section at the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center. She oversees the administration of WIPO mediation, arbitration and expert determination cases, and leads legal and policy developments relating to WIPO Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). This includes the development of ADR schemes adapted to specific industry sectors, as well as ADR collaborations with IP authorities and courts globally.

Heike is a German lawyer and holds a Ph.D. in European Community Law from the University of Cologne. Following studies and legal training in Germany, Switzerland and the US, she practiced with two major law firms in Germany in the areas of IP and trade law. Before joining the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, Heike also specialized in international IP enforcement law and policy at WIPO.
